Peter Poskas Reception This Afternoon!

I’m a little slow on the Farmer’s Market vegetable this week because I’m waiting for the paint to dry! This rain isn’t helping! Painting with walnut oil in place of solvent has forced me to adjust my process a bit and slow way down. We are also busy getting ready for the opening of “Crop Circle” at the end of the month! (October 28th!!). Instead of my usual painting foray to the fields today a trip to the Behnke Doherty Gallery in Washington Depot is a definite on the agenda. Peter Poskas and Dan Murray will be featured. Mr. Poskas has been favorite painter of mine forever not only because of his farm landscapes and gorgeous light, but for his works depicting the city of Waterbury. The Mattatuck Museum in Waterbury, CT. holds several of his works. However, getting to see a roomful of his work in the intimate setting of the Behnke Doherty Gallery is a treat!
